Background

Tumakuru Smart City Limited (TSCL) is incorporated under Company’s Act 2013 on 06/02/2017, Karnataka. The Projects under the Smart City Proposal envisages to provide the Tumakuru citizens, a Safety enabled, Smart Transit, Better Transportation and Green Infrastructure.

The India Smart Cities Award Contest (ISAC) is organized under the Smart Cities Mission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. This is one of the important activities initiated under the Mission, where pioneering city strategies, projects and ideas are recognized based on innovation, impact and replicability/scalability. The ISAC will recognize and reward cities, projects and innovative ideas that are promoting sustainable development in urban areas in India, as well as stimulating inclusive, equitable, safe, healthy and collaborative cities, thus enhancing quality of life for all. 

In this background, TSCL is launching the Photography contest to its citizen via the Citizen engagement/ Stakeholder engagement activities. The objective of this photography contest is to create a platform to all the citizen to share their perception of usability of the projects implemented under TSCL. 

Rules

A. Photographs Specification:

1. The Photographs should be as per the following specifications : Photos submitted must be shot at 300 dpi OR at least 2400 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 3600 pixels on the longer side (maintaining an aspect ratio (L/S) of 1.25-1.50). Images should be no larger than 16-24MB. Photos must be in JPEG format.

   A Sample Photograph for Contest

   A picture speaks more than 1000 words : The photographs should portray beneficiary interests/Stakeholders engagements/ usages to the citizen. 
3. Photographs depicting Citizen Engagement Activity / Student Awareness activities conducted through TSCL project is also accepted. A Sample image is as depicted here.👉
4. Provide a title to your Photograph and submit along with the form. 

B. General Rules

• This contest is open to all Tumakuru Citizen / Resident 
• Minimum Age Limit -16 Years. 
• It is mandatory to send the photographs of TSCL projects only. Other photographs shall be rejected by the committee. 
• Maximum of 6 photos per participant is allowed. Incase of additional entries, first 6 photographs will be considered for evaluation (in the order of upload/in the chronological order). 
• The photographs should be submitted in the link provided below. No other mode of submission is accepted. 
• The decision of the selection committee is final. No further inquiries are entertained in this regard. 
• The quality of the photographs should be maintained as per the specifications. All lower resolution photographs shall be rejected by the committee. 
• Photographs is recommended in landscape mode.

1. ICMCC located at Corporation office, Townhall Circle, Tumakuru
2. Intelligent Transport System (Citizen referring the Display for bus information, Citizen using mobile Application to identify the bus etc.) 
3. Tumakuru Digital Library located at Townhall Circle, Tumakuru
4. Smart Poles across 6 locations (Locatable in the G-Map) 
5. Smart Park across 16 locations under different categories. Recommended to visit A category that is Netaji Park, Kuvempunagara and NEPS Park, Opp. Horticulture Office, Tumakuru. 
6. Smart Classrooms across Tumakuru (Locatable in the G-Map) 
7. DiNC (Locatable in the G-Map) 
8. Smart Roads - Radhakrishna Road, Kariappa Road, JC Road (Components like citizen referring signages, citizen using footpath, Cycles on Cycling Track, street light during night, dedicated parking lots etc.) 
9. Housing for Urban Poor @Mariammanagar 
10. Empress girls High School and PU college ( Students enjoying the benefits of the projects) 
11. Parks developed under TSCL like Science Theme Park, Fitness Theme Park, Women Theme Park etc. 
12. Firing Simulator, NCC 4 Kar Battalion, SS Circle, Tumakuru.
